For those looking to rent…Runamuk offers late model, 10-15 person capacity pontoon boats with 40 to 200 HP 4 stroke engines. Our Crestliner Fishing Boats include a 14′ Anglers and 16.5′ 1600 Visions with side console and 60 HP motor. Aside from boats we also rent 130 to 215 HP jet skis, jet boats, snowmobiles, ATVs & UTVs as well as guided ATV and snowmobile excursions. Located right on the major area trails in both Cable & Hayward, WI we’re near also near major northwest Wisconsin lakes, easy to get to, and have great, direct trail access. Our master-certified technicians can repair, maintain or customize any brand, model or type of boat or boat engine, (outboard, inboard and jet), PWC, ATV, UTV, snowmobiles or trailer. We also sell, install, remove and new and used docks and lifts; provide insurance appraisals and insurance estimates; emergency lakeside/trail-side repair and towing service; rent replacement equipment while your equipment is being repaired or replaced. We perform seasonal storage, preparation and winterization for all types of power-sports equipment and open late.

Thousands of Weenie enthusiasts come annually to watch the fastest sleds compete for top speed of the day while eating up those great Klement’s Hot Dogs and drinking down an ice cold Pepsi or Budweiser beer. Watch as dozens of people get the first swim of the year in Lake Namakagon at the Frozen Weenie Polar Bear Plunge, win prizes at the many games and enjoy great music while taking it all in.
67th ANNUAL MUSKY FESTIVAL, June 16-19, 2016
Hayward’s largest community festival celebrating Wisconsin’s Northwoods and our great fishing tradition. Musky Festival will take place the weekend of Father’s Day each year in downtown Hayward, Wisconsin.The weekend includes the crowning of our Musky Festival Queen, sidewalk sales, large handmade art & craft show, live music, children’s games, mouth-watering food booths, 5K/ Run/Walk and 10K Run as well as a Minnow Run for those 12 and younger, catch & release fishing contest, fishing photo contest, a carnival and large street dances featuring Midwest known music groups on Friday and Saturday nights. The whole weekend concludes with the Grand Parade on Sunday down Main Street.

Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, Sept 16-17, 2016
Friday warm-up event, pasta feast, product displays, award presentations, hundreds of miles of bike trails. Saturday is race day, Sunday is fun day. The Chequamegon 40 is a 40 mile (mass start at 10 am from Hayward’s Main Street) with 1,700 participants. Short and Fat is a 16-mile companion event(mass start from Randysek Road in Cable at 10 a.m.).
